DampScout — independent UK damp, mould and housing compliance data
DampScout is a small network of free guides about the money and deadlines side of damp, mould and rental compliance in England. No sponsored rankings, no quote-farm middlemen: every price and deadline on our sites links to the public source it was taken from and the exact date we checked it, and the data gets re-checked on a schedule — the freshness dates are part of the product.
Our sites
Three sites, one shared method: structured data, cited to dated sources, re-verified on a rotation.

How we work
- Numbers come from published sources. Survey fees, treatment costs and licence fees are quoted from councils' own fee pages, industry bodies and established UK cost guides — each with a clickable source and a verification date.
- Data is re-checked, not cached. The HMO fee dataset is re-verified against council pages on a rolling daily rotation; the damp-cost and Awaab's Law datasets go through a scheduled re-check, and pages show when.
- No pay-to-play. We don't take commission for referrals, and nothing on these pages is ranked by who pays.
